Weapons Engineering Directorate (ALDW)

Weapons Engineering (ALDW) integrates planning and execution of the stockpile stewardship program. Our team safely performs engineering, assembly, and testing, as well as weapons and explosives research. ALDW sustains most deployed US nuclear weapons, leads major warhead modernization programs, and executes large-scale integrated experimental programs. We are hiring engineers from various subdisciplines who have graduated or will graduate in spring, summer, or fall of 2023 with an undergraduate or graduate degree and are available to begin full-time positions in Los Alamos, New Mexico upon graduation. We are also hiring Physicists in high explosives or shock physics and Computer Scientists for Post Bachelors or Post Masters internship positions.
