The Texas A&M University System’s National Laboratories Office invites you to LANL Week, a Los Alamos National Laboratory networking and hiring event on main campus starting Monday, October 28, 2024 through Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

If you are interested in serving our country through scientific development and application, manufacturing, operations or infrastructure, come learn how you can put your experience to work. The Engineering Institute uses multidisciplinary engineering research that integrates advanced modeling and simulations, novel sensing systems and new developments in information technology.

The Los Alamos Dynamics Summer School (very similar to internships) is a very selective summer school in which top upper-level US-citizen undergraduate students from universities around the nation attend lectures and work in teams of three with a Los Alamos Lab mentor on research projects related to the Engineering Institute’s technology focus.

Come network and share dinner with a variety of laboratory staff, engineers and scientists. Insightful discussions will introduce you to various areas of the laboratories, career tracks and how to find your place in this important mission.

Representatives from multiple laboratory divisions will be conducting pre-scheduled interviews with prospective employees.   • Weapons Engineering – Weapons Engineering (ALDW) integrates planning and execution of the stockpile stewardship program. Our team safely performs engineering, assembly, and testing, as well as weapons and explosives research. If you are interested in being interviewed, complete the ALDW Interview Interest Form here by Sunday, October 20, 2024.
  • Weapons Production – Weapons Production is responsible for the production of plutonium pits, detonators, and non-nuclear components, along with the necessary evaluation that ensures safe and reliable products. If you are interested in being interviewed, complete the ALDWP Interview Interest Form here on or before Sunday, October 20, 2024.
  • Facilities and OperationsThe facilities and operations directorate is responsible for facility operations and maintenance, engineering, site infrastructure, campus master plan, and real estate management for 8.4 million square feet of laboratory facilities.   • Environment, Safety, Health, and QualityESHQ provides expertise in environmental protection and stewardship, radiation protection, industrial hygiene, and waste management. If you are interested in being interviewed, please complete the Interview Interest Form here.
  • Science, Technology and Engineering – Delivering mission success and innovative solutions to national security problems through the agile, rapid application of our transformational scientific capabilities.
