Aggies Invent is a 48-hour intensive engineering design competition experience. It promotes innovation and entrepreneurial mindsets of students to help solve national security engineering problems.
Students participate in projects that will push their innovation and collaboration skills to help solve national security problems. The concept is to gather interested students, seed the event with potential industry needs (medical, energy or others), allow the students to self-select teams, give them access and support at the design center and have them carry out the ideas to create prototypes in 48 hours. Each event is designed in collaboration with industry and faculty.
Students push their innovation and creativity, compete for the best design, and gain practice with rapid prototyping tools. By the end of the competition, student teams will have developed a product, a solution, and will be encouraged to pursue it further, even to the point of actual commercialization.
